Our Team
Sea Explorers Philippines is owned by Chris Heim, Rolf Muehlemann and Hervé Jaïn. They keep hands-on in running the daily business. On their side are international and local teams of well-experienced guides, instructors and travel experts.
In 1989, Chris Heim opened his first Sea Explorers Dive Center which is today, the famous Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol. Exploring further the dive sites in the Visayas, was the opening of Sea Explorers Cabilao followed with further expansion of Dumaguete together with the partnership of Rolf Muehlemann. The next destination followed was the tropical island of Malapascua. To be able to offer our guests and agents the most convenient way to book the different dive centers at only one location, Sea Explorers Cebu Office was established in the year 2000. Last but not least after working for 8 years in Sea Explorers, Hervé Jaïn joined the partnership of Sea Explorers.
The latest expansion was in 2012, the opening of our 2nd dive center in Amorita Resort, Alona Beach. In 2016 (Dauin) and in 2017 (Malapascua), the company invested in a membrane system for our Nitrox diving guests. The Sea Explorers boat fleet as of today is comprised of 9 traditional diving bancas and 5 speed boats.
In 2019, Sea Explorers Philippines then was able to celebrate its latest major accomplishment – an incredible 30 years in the diving business.
We’re proud to have an amazing team working hard behind the scenes. These wonderful people are the heart and soul of Sea Explorers. Our logo “dive with a smile” was created by one of our good friends, who saw many happy guests dive with a smile together with our team. We’ve made “dive with a smile” our motto.

Sea Explorers Cebu Office is, beside our website of course, the other place of contact for your complete and unique Island Hopping itinerary in the Visayas!
Our multilingual team will assist you in planning your trips with us, booking accommodation and dive packages at our partner resorts, arranging your transfers from/to Cebu, Dumaguete, Malapascua and Tagbilaran Airport and even arranging domestic flights with the local airlines.
Our Cebu Office is located in Cebu City, queen city of the South and the 2nd biggest City in the Philippines. This central location allows us to support you, our valued guests, and all our dive centers from strategic point.
