PADI Discover Local Diving Program

Are you planning on diving in a new environment?  Enroll in the PADI Discover Local Diving Course so you can understand a dive site you have not tried yet.  The Discover Local Diving program will let you relax and enjoy your dive with an experienced dive professional to orient and guide you.

This program may also be used to re-introduce you to diving in open water after a long period of inactivity.  You may also enroll in the PADI Scuba Review Program to get a refresher along with your Discover Local Diving Course.

PADI Discover Local Diving Course

This one-day program usually consists of 1 to 2 open water dives.  It may also comprise a single dive site or multiple dive sites.

In the PADI Discover Local Diving Course, the instructor will acquaint you with the following:

  • Dive site environment and conditions
  • Safe diving practices
  • Dive hazards
  • Points or items of interest
  • Local procedures and techniques
  • Dive planning basics
  • Aquatic life interaction

The PADI Discover Local Diving is also used when doing an unfamiliar diving practice.  An example is when you are about to do a shore dive as opposed to your usual boat dives.

PADI Discover Local Diving Program requisites
