Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is the perfect introduction to scuba diving—no certification or previous experience required.
Designed for first-time divers, this exciting experience lets you explore the incredible underwater world of the Philippines under the direct supervision of a certified Sea Explorers Dive Professional. Before entering the open water, you’ll receive a short introduction to scuba diving, learn about the equipment you’ll be using, and practice a few simple skills in shallow water to help you feel comfortable and confident.
Once you’re ready, it’s time for the highlight of the experience—your first real scuba dive! Descend into the crystal-clear waters and discover vibrant coral reefs, colourful tropical fish, and the incredible marine life that makes the Philippines one of the world’s top diving destinations.

What You’ll Learn
During your Discover Scuba Diving experience, you’ll:
- Learn the basic principles of scuba diving.
- Become familiar with your scuba equipment.
- Practice a few essential skills in shallow water.
- Experience breathing underwater for the first time.
- Enjoy a guided open water dive with a PADI Professional (Option B).
Program Prerequisites
To participate, you must:
- Be at least 10 years old.
- Be comfortable in the water.
- Be in reasonable physical health.
- No previous scuba diving experience is required.
- Participants under 18 years of age require parental or guardian approval.
Choose Your Discover Scuba Diving Experience
Option A – Pool Experience
A great way to experience scuba diving in a safe, controlled environment.
- Minimum age: 10 years
- Pool session only
- Duration: Approximately 2 hours
- Learn basic scuba skills and equipment use
- No previous experience required
- Parental approval required for minors
Option B – Pool & Open Water Experience
The complete Discover Scuba Diving adventure.
After your pool session and skill practice, you’ll head out with your instructor for an unforgettable guided dive on one of our beautiful house reefs or nearby dive sites.
- Minimum age: 10 years
- Pool session followed by one open water dive
- Maximum depth: 12 metres (40 feet)
- Duration: Approximately 3–4 hours
- No previous experience required
- Parental approval required for minors
