Malapascua is a small island at the Northern tip of Cebu Island.It is 2,5km long and 1km wide.White sandy beaches,the probability to see thresher sharks,manta ray and great wreck dives are quickly makeing this a divers hotspot in the Philippines. |

Getting there:
From Cebu City you can go by taxi or bus, north to Maya which will take 3-4 hours. Then you go 30 minuts by outrigger boat to Malapasqua,Make it easy on yourself and let the Sea Explorers Head Office in Cebu organize the transport for you. |

SHARK POINT
you get up early and take a 20 minute boatride to the sunken island of Monad . The island has a diameter of 1,5km and starts at a depth of 12m then drops off to 45m.Shark Point is where you will see the thresher sharks.Occasionaly hammerheads and manta rays are also spotted. Dive with a longer smile....dive Nitrox! |

LAPUS LAPUS
A 10 minute boatride takes you to this place in the north western side of Malapascua. There is good rock formation down to 20m with beautiful soft corals, small reef fish,frogfish, lionfish, scopionfish and nudibranch.It makes a perfect dive site for beginners.

LIGHTHOUSE
Right in front of the main beach and only 5 minutes boatride away from the dive center, is a super place for night dives or an easy arternoon dive. Seahorse, frogfish, scorpionfish, lionfish and critters can be found here. |

CALANGAMAN ISLAND
This picturesque spot is also perfect for snorklers and swimmers.Rare longnose hawkfish nudibranch, ribbon eel and even the odd thresher shark can be found along the wall, amidst the large black corals gardens. |

| GATO ISLAND
You reach Gato Island in 40 minutes by boat. Fishing there is not permitted so uderwater life thrives.This is a good place to swim through a cave and look for sleeping sharks. Seahorses and many different nudibranches are often spotted . |

DONA MARILYN
A typhoon in´82 sank this cargo ship and sent 6 of its crew members to the grave. The wreck is 90m long and laying on its starbord side on a sandy bottom. Good varieties of corals, lionfish, scorpionfish, batfish, nudibranch along with occasioal sightings of nurse shark, whitetipped reef shark, eagle ray and stingray.This dive is to 32m and because there is so much to see,Nitrox is recomended.
